I have a real liking for interior glass doors and windows. Excellent room dividers that let in lots of light but don't make a space feel enclosed. 

Mirrored panels look good too.

Quite frankly, if you want to buy the most beautiful items for sale today, you go here. An online directory of antique furniture, fashion and fine art dealers and their wares.

But you'll need serious cash. 

The website is really intuitive, and most items do have their prices listed, but you'll notice below there is a "make an offer" button. The dealers are all willing to ship internationally, and while there are a lot of European dealers, the bulk are American and the prices are displayed in US$.

I know very little about jewellery, but it all seems very shiny and expensive, so I suppose it's all good

Oskar Kohnen and Fabian Freytag's company LecaroliMited have produced a truly modern Berlin penthouse. It's a brave gamble, but I think it works beautifully, providing you always put everything away in unseen storage and wiped fingermarks off as you go. But what a vehicle for modern art!

Not brave enough to cover the whole house in mirrors? The mirrored tile trend is really gathering pace, good for catching natural light on surfaces that rarely see them, and a clean look for kitchens and bathrooms.

Magic mirrors...

 The “Mizukagami” (water mirror) series by Rikako Nagashima and  Hideto Hyoudou, an acrylic mirror that appears to drip down walls, off table and statues, and even form puddles complete with ripples should grace the pages of any design blog worth its salt (or should that be bytes?). It's a curious concept, whilst being fun and Dali-esque its also a little hallucinogenic and disturbing. As the mirror isn't useful in the traditional sense (unless you want to see up your skirt?) there is a faint aura of death and a reminder of mortality associated with the piece.
