Spotlight on...

They are just awesome and the Belgian duo spill whimsy from every finger. Alas most pieces are installations, not commercially available.

Sunday DIY...

Some home painting inspiration now.
The artist Ernst Caramelle does wonderful blocks of sedate colours which are like softer Malevitch's, and now she has started doing them in interiors as installations. When I have a free wall I will absolutely nick this idea and paint some random, overlapping blocks, they look fantastic!

If you didn't want to go quite so "my wall is ART", a few simple painted squares, especially atop shelves like the below photo, would add a little interior pep

And if you are feeling more adventurous (I am), the below should give you some ideas. I'm particularly keen to go all geometrically Op-Art on a dining room table.

If I were very brave I would definitely attempt something like this:

Superior Spectacles...

The Fashion Space Gallery in LCF is having an exhibition of amazing eyewear. Framed is on until 3rd Nov, and it's well worth a cheeky peek. I think the tapestry ones are my favourite - I almost regret having 20/20 vision!

Conversion envy...

This Grade II listed water tower in Cheshire has been renovated and extended to perfection. RIBA agrees and awarded Ellis Williams Architects, who describe Lymm Water Tower as a "Truly modern castle".  It's the sort of project I dream about embarking on, but in more sober moments realise the bureaucratic quagmire would probably kill me.

Cat Attack!...

Jeff De Boer has turned cats' lives up to 11 with these night time knights.

And he's kind enough to give the mice a fighting chance too.

Mood lighting Monday...

A Chadwick candlestick is high on my wish list, there are loads of exciting examples floating around, but I still think they win.
