House envy...

A beautifully restored example of a 1797 terraced house in Whitechapel.
I would move right in. And I'm definitely going to hunt down some old medicine cabinets and mount them on the walls in my bathroom.

3D printed home wares...

I've long been fascinated with 3D printing. The options are limitless but at the moment the printers still seem to be making quite crude images and they haven't found much use for them. These vases, tea sets and bowls by Matthew Plummer-Fernandez are just beautiful. He's a young graduate and I really hope these take off for him.

Surreal Saturday...

Amazing photo-manipulation projects are nothing new, but you can't help but enjoy works that make you do a double-take and shuffle in closer till your nose is basically touching the photo. Such, for me, is the work of chinese photographer Zhao Huasen, whose invisible bicycles are really memorable.

Also eye catching is the surreal hybrids of Nancy Fouts

And the whimsical and often wizardly images by Kevin Corrado

Seasonal sculptures...

Knives out, pumpkins at the ready: the most interesting carved pumpkins on the web

Ski chalet envy...

Oppenhiem's La Muna Aspen ski chalet. Although I'm not sure the hot tub looks industrial enough to massage away ski boot pain, and there is no sign of a sauna, which is almost as necessary for skiing as, well, skis.

Mad Hatters...

Want to go the whole Beatrice but bored of/can't afford Jones or Treacy? A whole new generation are literally sprouting all over the place. So if outshining the bride or causing a 5 horse pile up is your thing - these are your milliners:

1) Francesco Ballestrazzi. McQueen's go to hat man.

2) Suzy O'Rourke

3) J Smith Esquire

5) Piers Atkinson

You block my world round 2...

Furniture doesn't come more cutting edge than Fanstudio's Iwa collection.
The result of experimental cutting techniques and materials, the collection is available in 180 colours and can be used outdoor or in, as it's highly durable and can be cleaned with warm water. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

OTT interiors...

You want opulence in a Parisian hotel, and the Saint James Hotel , designed by Bambi Sloan, certainly delivers...
